About Cincinnati Bengals

Paul Brown coached the team from its founding through 1975, establishing its early winning records. The Bengals reached the Super Bowl twice in the 1980s, losing Super Bowl XVI (1982) and Super Bowl XXIII (1989) both to the San Francisco 49ers. After Paul Brown's death in 1991, controlling ownership passed to his son, Mike Brown, who remains the team's owner.

Following a 14-year playoff drought, the franchise was revived under head coach Marvin Lewis (2003-2018). The current era, led by head coach Zac Taylor and quarterback Joe Burrow alongside receiver Ja'Marr Chase, produced the team's third Super Bowl appearance, a loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI (2022).

The Bengals have played home games at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati since 2000, having previously played at Riverfront Stadium (1970-1999) and Nippert Stadium (1968-1969).
