Cody Jinks
Cody Jinks, born August 18, 1980, in Haltom City, Texas, near Fort Worth, is an American singer-songwriter working in outlaw and Texas country. He started out fronting the thrash metal band Unchecked Aggression from 1998 to 2003 before shifting to country music around 2005, releasing his first country albums from 2008 onward.

About Cody Jinks
His breakthrough came with I'm Not the Devil (2016), which reached number four on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, followed by a run of releases, including Lifers (2018), After the Fire (2019), and The Wanting (2019), that each peaked at number two on the same chart.
Jinks records largely at Sonic Ranch in Texas and operates through his own label, Late August Records, maintaining an independent approach to production and release even as his audience has grown. His sound merges neotraditional and outlaw country songwriting with the heavier musical instincts carried over from his metal background, and he frequently collaborates with other artists on his records. Recent albums include Change the Game (2024) and In My Blood (2025).
