Covenant
Covenant are a Swedish synthpop and electronic body music band formed in Helsingborg in 1986, fronted by Eskil Simonsson. Early records leaned toward the harder, distorted end of EBM before the band moved toward a cleaner synth-pop sound from the late 1990s onward, notably on the album Europa (1998).

About Covenant
Sequencer (1996) is often rated among the strongest electronic albums of its decade, and later releases such as Skyshaper (2006) and Modern Ruin (2011) kept the band active on the European electronic and industrial festival circuit. A Norwegian metal band that once used the same name was forced to rebrand as the Kovenant after a 1998 trademark dispute.
