CROWBAR
Crowbar is an American sludge metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1990 by guitarist and vocalist Kirk Windstein, who has remained the group's sole constant member. The band's roots trace to 1988, when Windstein played in the hardcore punk group ShellShock, which underwent several name changes, including Aftershock, Wrequiem and The Slugs, before settling on Crowbar in 1991.

About CROWBAR
The current lineup includes drummer Tommy Buckley, guitarist Matt Brunson and bassist Pat Bruders. Crowbar pioneered a style combining slow, heavy doom metal with hardcore punk aggression. Their self-titled 1993 album, produced by Phil Anselmo of Pantera and Down, received national exposure on MTV's Headbangers Ball and led to major tours supporting Pantera.
Subsequent releases include Odd Fellows Rest (1998), Lifesblood for the Downtrodden (2005), which featured a guest contribution from Pantera bassist Rex Brown, and Zero and Below (2022). Down and Eyehategod drummer Jimmy Bower has also served as a member of the band. Crowbar's sound has remained influential within the sludge and doom metal scenes across more than three decades of recording and touring.
