Crypta
Crypta is a Brazilian death metal band formed in São Paulo, publicly announced in May 2020 after bassist and vocalist Fernanda Lira and drummer Luana Dametto left the thrash metal band Nervosa. Guitarists, including Tainá Bergamaschi, rounded out the founding lineup.

About Crypta
Signed to Napalm Records, the band released its debut album, Echoes of the Soul, in June 2021, followed by Shades of Sorrow in 2023, a semi-conceptual record exploring anxiety, fear, and loneliness that layers black-metal-tinged atmosphere over Lira's death growls. Lira has described the band's sound as a death metal melting pot drawing on multiple extreme-metal subgenres.
Crypta has toured internationally and played major festivals including Wacken Open Air, Rock in Rio, and Primavera Sound, building a profile as one of the more prominent all-female acts in a genre historically dominated by men.
The lineup has continued to evolve with touring and session guitarists; American guitarist Victoria Villarreal was announced as a permanent member in April 2026, and a third studio album is in development.
