Daði Freyr
Daði Freyr Pétursson, born June 30, 1992, in Reykjavík, Iceland, is an Icelandic musician who spent part of his childhood in Denmark before his family returned to Iceland when he was nine. He co-founded the electronic act RetRoBot, which won Iceland's Músíktilraunir competition in 2012, and later moved to Berlin, Germany, in 2014, where he earned a degree in music management and audio production in 2017.

About Daði Freyr
As frontman of Daði og Gagnamagnið, he was selected to represent Iceland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with "Think About Things," after winning the national final Söngvakeppnin, though the contest itself was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He represented Iceland again in 2021 with "10 Years," finishing fourth, a result matching the country's best-ever points total at the contest. His solo discography includes the 2019 album & Co., described as avant-garde pop and compared to Daft Punk's retro-disco sound, followed by I Made an Album (2023) and Too Much Not Enough (2026).
Freyr also competed in Iceland's 2017 Söngvakeppnin national final with "Is This Love?" He performs and records both under his own name and the alias Mixophrygian, and is married to Gagnamagnið dancer and musician Árný Fjóla Ásmundsdóttir.
