About Daniel O'Reilly

The Dapper Laughs character carried O'Reilly onto television, including the ITV2 dating show On the Pull in 2014, and into the UK singles chart, where his song "Proper Moist" reached number 15. Public backlash over the character's content led him to announce its retirement later that year, though he revived it periodically, including a stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.

From 2023, O'Reilly stepped away from the persona to tour stand-up comedy under his own name, opening with the Out of Character tour, which sold out 60 UK dates starting in January 2024, followed by the larger Let's Have It tour across 2025 and 2026. He also hosts the Menace to Sobriety podcast, launched in 2023, and founded Men and Their Emotions (M.A.T.E.), a charity supporting men's mental health.
