Eagles of Death Metal
Eagles of Death Metal are an American rock band formed in 1998 in Palm Desert, California, by Jesse Hughes (vocals, guitar) and Josh Homme (drums), who remain the group's only permanent members; Homme rarely performs live with the band due to his commitment to Queens of the Stone Age. Despite the name, the band does not play death metal — the name is a deliberate joke — and instead performs a mix of garage rock, hard rock, blues rock and glam-rock influences that Homme has described as combining bluegrass slide guitar with "stripper drum beats."

About Eagles of Death Metal
Their debut album, Peace, Love, Death Metal, was released in 2004, followed by Death by Sexy (2006), Heart On (2008), Zipper Down (2015) and the covers album EODM Presents Boots Electric Performing the Best Songs We Never Wrote (2019).
On November 13, 2015, the band was performing at the Bataclan theatre in Paris when it was attacked as part of a series of coordinated terrorist attacks across the city; roughly 90 people inside the venue were killed, including the band's merchandise manager, though the band members escaped safely. The aftermath was documented in the 2017 HBO film Eagles of Death Metal: Nos Amis, and the band subsequently returned to touring.
The group remains active, with touring plans reported for 2026.
