Embrace
Embrace are an English rock band formed in 1990 in Bailiff Bridge, West Yorkshire, when brothers Danny McNamara (vocals) and Richard McNamara (guitar) began writing songs together in a garden outbuilding using a cassette recorder and drum machine. They were later joined by bassist Steve Firth, drummer Mike Heaton and keyboardist Mickey Dale.

About Embrace
Their 1998 debut album The Good Will Out was one of the fastest-selling debuts by a British act, was certified gold on its day of release and has sold more than half a million copies in the UK. The band went on to record England's official song for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, "World at Your Feet," which reached number three on the UK Singles Chart.
Embrace scored three UK number-one albums and six top-ten singles across the Britpop and post-Britpop era, including Out of Nothing (2004) and This New Day (2006), before an extended hiatus that began around 2006 after the band lost its recording contract.
The band reunited in 2013, signing to Cooking Vinyl and releasing a self-titled sixth album in 2014; its 2022 record How to Be a Person Like Other People marked an eighth consecutive UK top-ten album.
