Eslabon Armado
Eslabón Armado is an American regional Mexican group formed in 2017 in Patterson, California, by brothers Pedro Tovar, on lead vocals, and Brian Tovar, on bass, together with friends who shared their interest in the genre. Their father introduced them to sierreño music from northwestern Mexico, and Pedro began writing songs at around age ten.

About Eslabon Armado
The group helped popularize a style dubbed sad sierreño, pairing romantic, melancholic lyrics with acoustic requinto guitar and six-string bass rather than the brass-driven sound of older-style corridos. Their 2022 album Nostalgia became the first regional Mexican record to reach the Top 10 of the Billboard 200.
Their 2023 collaboration with Peso Pluma, Ella Baila Sola, made chart history as the first regional Mexican song to reach the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number four, and topped the Hot Latin Songs chart, propelling the group toward arena shows and Latin Grammy nominations.
The current lineup pairs Pedro and Brian Tovar with guitarist Damián Pacheco, following the 2025 departure of Ulises González. The group has continued a prolific release schedule with Desvelado (2023) and Vibras de Noche 2 (2025).
