About FC Cincinnati
FC Cincinnati built a strong following during its USL years from 2016 to 2018, setting multiple attendance records and winning the 2018 USL regular season championship. Since moving to MLS, the club's most significant achievement came in 2023, when it won the MLS Supporters' Shield with 69 points and reached the Eastern Conference finals, its deepest playoff run to date.
The club played its early MLS seasons at the University of Cincinnati's Nippert Stadium before moving into its purpose-built home, TQL Stadium, in the city's West End neighborhood, which opened in May 2021 with a capacity of roughly 25,500. FC Cincinnati is owned by Carl Lindner III of American Financial Group, with businesswoman Meg Whitman holding a minority stake since 2019.
Pat Noonan has served as head coach with Chris Albright as general manager, guiding the club's roster as it competes for MLS honors in the years following its Supporters' Shield win.
