Fear Factory is an American metal band formed in 1989 in Los Angeles, California, originally under the names Ulceration and then Fear the Factory. The band became one of the pioneering acts of industrial metal, fusing mechanized rhythms and programmed elements with death metal and groove metal influences.

About Fear Factory

Guitarist Dino Cazares has been the band's central creative figure across numerous lineup changes, with vocalist Burton C. Bell fronting the group through several of its most notable eras. Key albums include Soul of a New Machine (1992), the breakthrough Demanufacture (1995), and Obsolete (1998), the band's only US gold-certified release, followed by Mechanize (2010), The Industrialist (2012), Genexus (2015), and Aggression Continuum (2021).

Fear Factory's sound proved highly influential on later metal acts, including Slipknot and Killswitch Engage, and the band has sold more than one million albums in the United States.

The current lineup, active since 2023, features Cazares alongside bassist Tony Campos, vocalist Milo Silvestro, and drummer Pete Webber.
