Fleshwater
Fleshwater is an American rock band formed in Boston in 2017 by Anthony DiDio and Matt Wood, both also members of the hardcore band Vein.fm. Guitarist and bassist Jeremy Martin and vocalist and guitarist Marisa Shirar joined in 2019, rounding out a lineup that blends heavier hardcore roots with '90s-inspired alternative rock.

About Fleshwater
The band's sound has been described as soft grunge, nu-gaze, and shoegaze, citing influences such as Sunny Day Real Estate, Dinosaur Jr., and Hum. Their debut album, We're Not Here to Be Loved, was released on Closed Casket Activities in November 2022, followed by the surprise EP Sounds of Grieving in December 2023 and a second full-length, 2000: In Search of the Endless Sky, in September 2025.
Early track "Linda Claire" helped establish the band's fanbase, surpassing a million streams on Spotify. Matt Wood departed in 2023, with Jonathan Lhaubouet and Josian Ramos later joining alongside DiDio, Shirar, and Martin. Fleshwater supported Deftones and The Mars Volta on a 2025 North American tour before headlining their own dates that September.
