About Gin Blossoms
The band's sound combines power pop, jangle pop, alternative rock and post-grunge, with critics noting its pairing of world-weary lyrics with buoyant melodies. Gin Blossoms broke through with the 1992 album New Miserable Experience, certified quadruple platinum, which produced the singles "Hey Jealousy," "Found Out About You" and "Follow You Down." The follow-up, Congratulations I'm Sorry (1996), was certified platinum and included the hit "Til I Hear It from You."
The band broke up in 1997 following its commercial peak but reunited in 2001. Since reforming, Gin Blossoms have released three further studio albums, Major Lodge Victory (2006), No Chocolate Cake (2010) and Mixed Reality (2018), and continue to tour on the strength of their early-1990s catalog.
