About Goth Babe
Washburn relocated to the West Coast in 2017, traveling through California and Oregon in a camper truck with his dog, Sadie, a period that shaped the outdoors-oriented, lo-fi sound heard across his early singles and EPs. His music blends indie rock, chillwave, indie pop, and folktronica, and his songs frequently reference surfing, travel, and life on the road.
After years of independent releases, Washburn issued his debut full-length album, Lola, in 2024. He has performed at festivals including Hinterland Music Festival and has been open about personal setbacks, including post-traumatic stress and a 2022 house fire that destroyed years of unreleased recordings, both of which have informed the introspective tone of his later songwriting.
