About Hannah East

East began performing stand-up on the pub comedy circuit around seven years into her broadcasting career, after encouragement from an electrician working in her home. Her wider public profile developed later, when she started posting comedy sketches about parenting online while on maternity leave with her third child; the videos, drawn from her experience raising three children, built an audience that grew to several hundred thousand followers across Instagram and TikTok.

Her material centres on the everyday realities of motherhood and family life, delivered through character sketches and observational stand-up rather than material from her broadcasting career. The relatable, parent-focused tone of her online sketches was the main driver of her transition from a sports-media career to comedy performance.

In 2026 East launched Express Yourself, her first UK-wide stand-up tour, built around the highs and lows of parenting. She also co-hosts the podcast No Parental Guidance with Louise Boyce for Fabulous Magazine.
