I Legnanesi
I Legnanesi is an Italian theatrical company performing comedies in the Lombard dialect of Legnano, founded in 1949 by Felice Musazzi, Tony Barlocco and Luigi Cavalleri. The group grew out of parish-circle performances by factory workers at the Franco Tosi plant and gained wide recognition after successful shows at Milan's Odeon theatre in 1958. It is considered the foremost example of en travesti theatre in Italy, with male actors playing all the female roles.

About I Legnanesi
The company's comedies revolve around the Colombo family in a Lombard courtyard, built around three recurring characters: housewife Teresa, unmarried daughter Mabilia and husband Giovanni, blending satire of rural Lombard life with topical and political humour. After splitting into rival factions, the troupe reunified in 2004 and continues to tour, alongside television appearances and film work. It has received civic honours including Milan's Ambrogino d'oro and the Lombardy region's Rosa Camuna.
