About Imminence

The band's music blends metalcore with alternative rock, post-hardcore, and symphonic and atmospheric elements. Its albums include the debut I (2014), the more experimental This Is Goodbye (2017), Turn the Light On (2019), Heaven in Hiding (2021), and the self-released The Black (2024). Imminence has recorded for labels including We Are Triumphant, Arising Empire, and Sumerian Records, and received multiple nominations at the Nocturnal Awards.

The band shifted stylistically over the course of its career, moving toward a more melodic alternative-rock sound on This Is Goodbye before returning to a heavier metalcore approach on later releases. Bassist Christian Höijer joined the lineup in 2018.

Drummer Peter Hanström departed in 2025 and was succeeded by Adam Janzi; the band's sixth studio album, Axis Mundi, is set for release through Sumerian Records.
