About Jenny Talia
She transitioned to comedy by reworking her father's bawdy material from a female point of view, a shift that "took on a life of its own" and led to her first comedy album as Jenny Talia in 2003. Her stage name plays on the word "genitalia," and her subsequent releases, including a 2014 album, have been noted for quirky, tongue-in-cheek songwriting delivered with a down-to-earth style.
After touring Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, Talia relocated to Nashville in 1999 and later settled in Chicago, where she continues to perform blue comedy material set to original songs, mixing raunchy humor with the country and folk songwriting instincts of her earlier career.
