Justin Hayward
David Justin Hayward, born October 14, 1946, in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, is a musician who served as guitarist and frontman of the rock band the Moody Blues from 1966 until its dissolution in 2018, after answering a Melody Maker advertisement to replace departing member Denny Laine.

About Justin Hayward
Hayward became the Moody Blues' principal vocalist and its most prolific songwriter between 1967 and 1974, writing about twenty of the band's twenty-seven post-1967 singles, including "Nights in White Satin," "Tuesday Afternoon," "Question" and "I Know You're Out There Somewhere."
During the band's mid-1970s hiatus, Hayward recorded the album Blue Jays (1975) with bandmate John Lodge, which reached the UK top five, and in 1978 sang lead on "Forever Autumn" from Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds, another UK top-five hit. He has released numerous solo albums over his career.
Hayward was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 and appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2022; following John Lodge's death in 2025, he is the last surviving member of the classic Moody Blues lineup.
