Koe Wetzel, born Ropyr Madison Koe Wetzel on July 14, 1992, in Pittsburg, Texas, is an American singer-songwriter based in Fort Worth. His middle name references outlaw country artist David Allan Coe. He played linebacker at Tarleton State University before turning fully to music, having performed since around age six.

About Koe Wetzel
He describes his sound as a blend of country, punk rock, and grunge, self-styled as "hillbilly punk-rock." After early self-produced work as Koe Wetzel and Konvicts, his 2016 album Noise Complaint marked a commercial breakthrough. He signed with Columbia Records in 2020, releasing Sellout, followed by Hell Paso (2022) and 9 Lives (2024), both charting significantly.
His single "High Road," featuring Jessie Murph, became his biggest hit and was certified 4x Platinum, while "Sweet Dreams" and "Creeps" achieved Platinum and Gold certification respectively. His music has drawn a large following by pairing rowdy, rock-inflected instrumentation with country songwriting traditions.
In 2023, Wetzel became a partner in Koe Wetzel's Riot Room, a restaurant, bar, and live music venue in Fort Worth, expanding his presence beyond recording and touring.
