About Lauren Babic
Babic has fronted three bands over her career: Red Handed Denial, the post-hardcore project CrazyEightyEight, which she co-founded with musicians Jarrod Alonge and Patty Walters, and the international hard rock group Skylimit. She has released two albums with Red Handed Denial and one with CrazyEightyEight, alongside solo cover albums and an original solo EP, Too Much and Never Enough.
She built a wide following through YouTube, where her channel has drawn more than 530,000 subscribers for vocal cover videos that reimagine pop songs, including tracks by Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson, in a heavier rock and metal style; her duet cover of "Lovely" has been viewed more than eight million times. Her original and cover releases combined have accumulated more than 60 million streams on Spotify.
Now based in Nashville, Babic has said she is focusing on original solo material and live performance while retaining creative independence from label pressures over her image and musical direction.
