Lisa Loeb is an American singer-songwriter, author and actress born March 11, 1968, in Bethesda, Maryland, and raised in Dallas, Texas. She began performing on the New York City coffeehouse circuit in the early 1990s before her breakthrough.

About Lisa Loeb
Her 1994 single 'Stay (I Missed You),' featured in the film Reality Bites, became the first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 by an artist without a recording contract at the time of release. Further top-20 singles followed with 'Do You Sleep?' (1996) and 'I Do' (1998), alongside the gold-certified albums Tails (1995) and Firecracker (1997).
Loeb later expanded into children's music, winning the Grammy Award for Best Children's Album in 2018 for Feel What U Feel, having earlier won a Brit Award for International Breakthrough Act in 1995. She continues to record, with recent albums A Simple Trick to Happiness (2020) and That's What It's All About (2024), and hosts a weekday program, Stay with Lisa Loeb, on SiriusXM.
