Medium Build is the stage name of Nicholas Carpenter, an American singer-songwriter now based in Anchorage, Alaska. Raised in Georgia, he played music in church before moving to Nashville to study songwriting at Middle Tennessee State University, where he also interned at Disney Publishing and wrote for his indie rock band Little Moses.

About Medium Build

He relocated to Alaska in 2016 and began recording as Medium Build, self-releasing music that blended indie rock, R&B and electronica before signing to Slowplay/Island Records in 2023. Working in indie pop and indie folk, he has released several studio albums, including Wild (2019), and has performed support slots for artists including Lewis Capaldi, Holly Humberstone and Finneas.
