Michael Spicer
Michael Spicer is a British comedy writer and performer born in 1977 and raised in Chadwell Heath, east London, where he studied media studies and film at the University of East London. He is best known for his satirical video series The Room Next Door, in which he plays a frustrated adviser feeding instructions through an earpiece to a public figure delivering a speech, intercut with real footage of that figure; subjects have included Boris Johnson, Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump.

About Michael Spicer
The series, inspired by Boris Johnson's halting answers during a television interview, went viral after Spicer posted it online and has drawn tens of millions of views. It led to a sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show, a national tour, a book, a radio series, and a Writers' Guild award. Spicer has also acted in the Netflix series Bridgerton and the BBC series Mandy and After Life.
