My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance is an American rock band formed in New Jersey in September 2001, shortly after the September 11 attacks, which influenced vocalist Gerard Way's decision to start the group. The band consists of Way on lead vocals, Ray Toro on lead guitar, Mikey Way on bass and Frank Iero on rhythm guitar; its name was drawn from a book title that caught Mikey Way's attention while he worked at a bookstore.

About My Chemical Romance
The band's catalog includes I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love (2002), the platinum-certified Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004), The Black Parade (2006) and Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (2010). My Chemical Romance won Best International Band at the 2007 NME Awards, with Gerard Way named Hero of the Year, and the band is widely credited with shaping the sound of 2000s emo and pop-punk.
The band announced its breakup in March 2013, then reunited on October 31, 2019, and toured from 2022 to 2023. In May 2022 they released "The Foundations of Decay," their first new material in eight years. The group is currently touring under the Long Live The Black Parade banner into 2026.
