Nekrogoblikon
Nekrogoblikon is an American melodic death metal band formed in 2006 in Palo Alto, California, by Nicky Calonne and Tim Lyakhovetskiy, who recorded the band's debut album in Lyakhovetskiy's basement before relocating to the Los Angeles area and expanding the lineup. The band blends metal with comedic and theatrical elements built around a recurring goblin theme, embodied on stage by a mascot character named John Goblikon.

About Nekrogoblikon
Studio albums include Goblin Island (2007), Stench (2011), Heavy Meta (2015), Welcome to Bonkers (2018), and The Fundamental Slimes and Humours (2022). Metal Injection called Heavy Meta the strongest album of the band's career, and Stench drew a 9/10 score from Blistering and 4.5/5 from Metal Sucks.
The 2012 music video for "No One Survives," directed by Brandon Dermer, became a viral hit that introduced the John Goblikon character and brought the band wider attention after DJ Diplo shared it. Original vocalist Nicky Calonne departed amicably in December 2023 after 17 years, replaced by Dickie Allen on harsh vocals and Grady Welch on clean vocals.
Now touring with its updated lineup, the band released new singles in 2025 and has continued playing festivals including Milwaukee Metal Fest, with a Welcome to Rockville appearance set for 2026.
