Nothing
Nothing is an American rock band formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2010 by vocalist and guitarist Domenic "Nicky" Palermo, who had previously played in hardcore punk projects before shifting toward a heavier, more atmospheric sound. The band's music combines shoegaze and dream pop with elements of post-hardcore, post-rock and slowcore, pairing distorted walls of guitar with melodic vocal harmonies.

About Nothing
The group signed to Relapse Records in 2013 and released its debut album, Guilty of Everything, in 2014, followed by Tired of Tomorrow (2016), Dance on the Blacktop (2018) and The Great Dismal (2020). Their lyrics frequently address hardship and introspection, drawing comparisons to the Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive.
Nothing has undergone repeated lineup changes around Palermo, including the departure of founding guitarist Brandon Setta in early 2019; the current lineup features guitarists Doyle Martin and Cam Smith, bassist Bobb Bruno and drummer Zachary Jones. Palermo also founded Slide Away, an annual shoegaze festival launched in 2024, extending the band's presence in the genre beyond its own recordings.
