Plini Roessler-Holgate, born July 25, 1992, in Sydney, Australia, is an instrumental guitarist who began releasing music in 2011, initially under the name Halcyon before performing under his first name, Plini. His work spans instrumental rock, progressive metal, djent, math rock, post-rock, and jazz fusion.

About Plini
His albums include Handmade Cities (2016), Impulse Voices (2020), and An Unnameable Desire (2026). He has built a reputation within progressive instrumental music through collaborations with artists including Sithu Aye, Skyharbor, Intervals, and members of Periphery, and cites Joe Satriani as a major influence on his melodic approach.
Guitarist Steve Vai has described Plini as representing the future of exceptional guitar playing, and MusicRadar named him its best progressive guitarist of 2017. He was nominated for Live Guitarist of the Year at the 2018 National Live Music Awards.
In 2020, a guitar solo performed by Doja Cat during an MTV Europe Music Awards broadcast was found to be identical to one of Plini's 2016 compositions, prompting a public apology from Doja Cat.
