Polyphia
Polyphia is an American instrumental rock band formed in 2010 in Plano, Texas. The group is built around guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, with bassist Clay Gober and drummer Clay Aeschliman rounding out the current lineup. The band's name derives from the word polyphony, reflecting music built from interweaving melodic lines.

About Polyphia
Polyphia's early releases drew on a heavy metal foundation before evolving into a more progressive style that incorporates electronic, funk and hip hop elements alongside intricate, largely instrumental guitar work. The band's profile rose after a YouTube guitar play-through of Impassion, from the EP Inspire, went viral. Its catalogue includes the albums Muse (2014) and Renaissance (2016), followed by New Levels New Devils (2018), its first to chart, reaching number 61 on the Billboard 200.
The band's fourth studio album, Remember That You Will Die, released in October 2022, debuted at number 33 on the Billboard 200 and featured guest appearances from guitarist Steve Vai and Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno.
Polyphia released a live album in November 2023 and continues to tour and record, maintaining a following built substantially through online guitar communities and instructional interest in its playing style.
