About Pop Evil

The band plays a hard rock and alternative metal style that AllMusic has described as an amalgamation of heavy metal, grunge, and modern rock, built on heavy guitar riffs and driving percussion. Pop Evil has released eight studio albums, including Lipstick on the Mirror (2008), War of Angels (2011), Onyx (2013), Up (2015), Pop Evil (2018), Versatile (2021), Skeletons (2023), and What Remains (2025).

The single "Trenches," from Onyx, reached number one on the Active Rock airplay chart in 2013 and won Radio Contraband's Song of the Year award that year. Later singles "Waking Lions" and "100 in a 55" also topped the Mainstream Rock chart, extending a run of commercial rock radio success that also includes "Monster You Made" and "Boss's Daughter."
