Red Rum Club is a British alternative rock band from Crosby, Merseyside, formed in 2016. The lineup includes vocalist Fran Doran, guitarists Tom Williams and Michael McDermott, bassist Simon Hepworth, and drummer Neil Lawson, alongside trumpeter Eli Younger, who replaced founding member Joe Corby in 2026. The band's incorporation of trumpet into a guitar-driven rock sound has been described as "Mariachi Merseybeat," drawing comparisons to fellow Liverpool act the Zutons and reflecting the influence of the group's American tours and Bootle's seafaring and industrial history.

About Red Rum Club

The band built an early following through festival appearances at Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight Festival before releasing a run of albums that steadily climbed the UK charts: Matador (2019), which reached the UK top 50; The Hollow of Humdrum (2020), peaking at number 58; How to Steal the World (2021), reaching number 34; Western Approaches (2024), reaching number eight; and Buck (2025), the band's highest UK chart placement at number seven.

Red Rum Club has supported major acts including Blossoms and the Wombats and headlined large venues such as Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena, establishing itself as one of the city's prominent rock exports alongside a growing international touring profile.
