Sanguisugabogg is an American death metal band formed in Columbus, Ohio, in 2019 by guitarist Cameron Boggs. The name combines "sanguisuga," Latin for leech, with "bog," British slang for toilet, partly referencing Boggs's surname. The current lineup includes vocalist Devin Swank, guitarist-turned-drummer Cody Davidson and guitarist-bassist Drew Arnold.

About Sanguisugabogg

The band built its reputation on a raw, deliberately primitive style that critics have described as gross, tasteless and unapologetically fun, built on simple, heavy riffs and a swampy tone reminiscent of Obituary. Its catalog on Century Media Records includes the debut Tortured Whole (2021), the more technically developed Homicidal Ecstasy (2023) and Hideous Aftermath (2025).

The group emerged from Ohio's underground death metal scene, releasing a debut demo, Pornographic Seizures, in 2019 before signing to Century Media for its full-length work. Live sets emphasize the band's blunt, tongue-in-cheek take on death metal conventions.

Sanguisugabogg remains active, touring in support of its most recent album and continuing to release new material.
