Sevendust
Sevendust is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Atlanta, Georgia, by bassist Vinnie Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose and guitarist John Connolly, who were soon joined by lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and guitarist Clint Lowery. The group performed under the names Snake Nation, Rumblefish and Crawlspace before settling on Sevendust, a name inspired by the insecticide brand Sevin Dust.

About Sevendust
The band's self-titled 1997 debut, released through TVT Records, sold only 311 copies in its first week yet went on to earn a gold certification. Home followed in 1999 and reached number 19 on the Billboard 200, while Animosity (2001) also went gold. Cold Day Memory (2010) reached number 12 on the Billboard 200, and Black Out the Sun (2013) topped the Top Hard Rock Albums chart; the single "Thank You" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2016.
Guitarist Clint Lowery left the band in December 2004 to join Dark New Day, with Sonny Mayo filling in until Lowery's return in 2008. Aside from that interval, the band's core lineup of Witherspoon, Connolly, Lowery, Hornsby and Rose has remained intact, giving Sevendust one of nu metal's more stable rosters.
Sevendust released its fourteenth studio album, Truth Killer, in 2023 and has since announced a fifteenth album titled One. All five members of the band's longtime lineup remain active, and the group continues to record and perform together.
