Silversun Pickups
Silversun Pickups is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2000 by singer-guitarist Brian Aubert and bassist Nikki Monninger, who met in 1994 on a flight to a study-abroad program at Cambridge University. The lineup was rounded out by drummer Christopher Guanlao and keyboardist Joe Lester, and the band took its name from a liquor store near the Silverlake Lounge, a Los Angeles rock venue.

About Silversun Pickups
The group's 2006 debut album, Carnavas, drew on the shoegaze and dream-pop textures of bands such as the Smashing Pumpkins, while its follow-up, Swoon (2009), debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. The single "Lazy Eye" was featured in both Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour, and the band earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2010.
Silversun Pickups has released seven studio albums to date, including Neck of the Woods (2012), Widow's Weeds (2019), Physical Thrills (2022), and Tenterhooks (2026), incorporating increasing electronic elements alongside its guitar-driven core sound.
