About Solon Holt
As a teenager, Holt played gospel music every Sunday at the People's Missionary Baptist Church in an all-Black congregation, an experience that shaped his vocal delivery and songwriting sensibility. He briefly attended the University of Mississippi, performing live around campus and nearby venues before committing fully to music.
In July 2024, Universal Music Publishing Group Nashville signed Holt to an exclusive global publishing deal, with UMPG's Roxy King citing an authenticity in his songwriting reflective of his upbringing. He released his debut singles "Right Where I Belong" and "Makes Me Wonder" in late 2024 and early 2025, and went on to sign a label deal with Trenches Records and Republic Records. Holt has performed as an opener on Megan Moroney's Cloud 9 Tour.
