The Chats
The Chats are an Australian punk rock band formed in 2016 on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, after the members met in a music class at St. Teresa's Catholic College in Noosaville. The lineup consists of bassist and lead vocalist Eamon Sandwith, drummer Matt Boggis, and guitarist Josh Hardy.

About The Chats
The band calls its sound shed rock, a blend of punk and garage rock influenced by Australian acts such as Cosmic Psychos and Eddy Current Suppression Ring. They gained wide attention in 2017 when the video for their song Smoko went viral and drew praise from Dave Grohl, Josh Homme, and Iggy Pop. Their follow-up viral single, Pub Feed (2019), further built their international fanbase before the pandemic halted touring.
Their debut album, High Risk Behaviour, was released in 2020 through Bargain Bin Records and reached number five on the ARIA Charts. Its follow-up, Get Fucked (2022), debuted at number two and won Best Hard Rock or Heavy Metal Album at the ARIA Music Awards. The band has continued to tour internationally, playing major festivals including Coachella and Reading & Leeds.
