About The Menzingers
The band signed to Epitaph Records in 2011 and built its reputation on On the Impossible Past (2012), which Absolutepunk.net and Punknews.org both named album of the year. Later releases include After the Party (2017), Hello Exile (2019), Some of It Was True (2023), and Everything I Ever Saw (2026). Hello Exile, produced by Will Yip, moved the band toward a heartland-rock-inflected sound exploring aging and long-term relationships rather than adolescence, and earned a Metacritic score of 75.
Earlier in their career the band released material through Go-Kart Records and Red Scare Industries before signing with Epitaph. Bad Religion's Brett Gurewitz has cited their work as a continuation of the punk rock he grew up on. In 2020 they recorded From Exile, an acoustic reworking of Hello Exile made remotely during COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. The band continues to tour extensively across North America, Europe, and Australia.
