About The Red Clay Strays

The band self-released its debut album, Moment of Truth, in 2022, which later achieved gold certification, before signing with RCA Records and releasing Made by These Moments in 2024, produced by Dave Cobb; the album peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 and number nine on the Top Country Albums chart, and drew favorable reviews from outlets including Rolling Stone and AllMusic. Their song Wondering Why became a viral hit in 2023, reaching number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning triple-platinum certification from the RIAA.

The band built its early audience through extensive independent touring across the American South before Wondering Why spread on social media and drew major-label interest, leading to a 2024 recording deal with RCA and a global publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music.

The Red Clay Strays won the Country Music Association's Vocal Group of the Year and the Academy of Country Music's award for New Vocal Duo or Group of the Year, both in 2025, and released the album Grateful in 2026, having previously performed as an opening act on the Rolling Stones' 2024 stadium tour.
