About Tom Rosenthal

Since beginning his recording career in 2010, Rosenthal has released seven studio albums, from Keep a Private Room Behind the Shop (2011) to Zz-Sides (2023). His songs "It's Ok" and "Lights Are On," along with a cover of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros' "Home" released under the pseudonym Edith Whiskers, became viral hits on TikTok, with "Lights Are On" and the "Home" cover earning BPI Silver certification in 2023 for surpassing 200,000 equivalent sales units.

Beyond recording, Rosenthal launched the podcast Strangers on a Bench in 2024, in which he interviews anonymous Londoners in parks; it reached the top ten of Apple Podcasts in Britain and drew coverage from The Guardian, The Times and The Atlantic. He was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2021 and co-founded the charity Grand Plan, which funds creative projects by artists of color.
