Weakened Friends are an American indie rock band formed in 2015 in Portland, Maine, led by the married couple Sonia Sturino (vocals, guitar) and Annie Hoffman (bass, vocals), joined by drummer Adam Hand since 2019. The group is signed to Don Giovanni Records.

About Weakened Friends
The band built its following with the 2018 single "Blue Again," from its debut full-length Common Blah, which drew coverage from NPR Music and Stereogum for its fuzzed-out, '90s-indebted sound and Sturino's howled, self-deprecating vocals. A second album, Quitter, followed in November 2021, and a third, Feels Like Hell, was released in 2025.
Weakened Friends began with two early EPs, Gloomy Tunes (2015) and Crushed (2016), establishing a sound built around loud, cathartic guitar rock paired with candid songwriting about anxiety and relationships.
The band continues to tour and record from its home base in Portland, Maine, with Sturino and Hoffman writing collaboratively across each release while retaining the group's raw, guitar-driven core sound.
