Two master soloists, saxophonist Eric Séva and trombonist Daniel Zimmermann, reunite for an intimate duo concert at the 38Riv Jazz Club in the heart of the Marais. Their project, born from the earlier quartet "Nomades sonores," explores a rare trombone and baritone saxophone pairing, producing a warm, woody, and powerful sound. The repertoire draws from an imaginary common folklore, weaving together popular music from the 20th century and around the world, from Piazzolla and Grappelli to Brazilian and musette waltz influences.

Performing without a net, the two "funambules" deliver a high-wire act of spontaneous interplay and lyrical melody. Eric Séva, a leading figure on the French scene since the 1990s, has played with Didier Lockwood, Chris Rea, and the Orchestre National de Jazz, releasing seven acclaimed albums as a leader. Daniel Zimmermann, a veteran of Claude Nougaro, Manu Dibango, and Tony Allen's bands, co-led a quintet with Thomas De Pourquery for 17 years and has been nominated multiple times for the Victoires du Jazz.

The 38Riv, a cozy jazz club and bar, offers a 12th-century vaulted cellar with warm, authentic acoustics—an ideal setting for this unique musical encounter.
