Overview
Médiathèque Marguerite Duras is a listed event at Médiathèque Marguerite Duras in Paris, sourced from the city's official open-data agenda. Free entry. Check the link for the latest schedule and ticket details.
This free exhibition at Médiathèque Marguerite Duras showcases the winning photographs from the 2025 "Raconte-moi ton quartier" competition, organized by the Réunion-Père-Lachaise and Plaine Lagny neighborhood councils. The competition invites residents to capture the everyday charm of Paris's 20th arrondissement—its streets, gardens, markets, and diverse communities—through their own lenses.
Visitors can explore a curated selection of around 40 images that previously adorned public squares and the grilles of the Assia Djebar library. The photos offer intimate glimpses of local life, from sunny afternoons to rainy moments, revealing the character and vitality of this cosmopolitan district.
The exhibition runs from July 4 to September 30, 2026, with a finissage event on September 24 at 6:30 PM. It's a wonderful opportunity to see the neighborhood through the eyes of its residents and discover hidden perspectives on familiar surroundings.
It is a free photo contest open to all, inviting participants to capture their familiar environment in the Paris 20e sud area.
150 photos were submitted to the juries of the two neighborhood councils.
Selected photos were exhibited on the grilles of Place de la Réunion square, Sarah Bernhardt square, and the Assia Djebar library.
