Getting aroundDowntown and Lower Broadway are walkable, but Nashville overall is spread out and built around cars; WeGo buses cover the basics while rideshares and organised tours are the practical way to reach Music Row, East Nashville and other outlying neighbourhoods.
Where to stayDowntown/Lower Broadway for walking distance to the honky-tonks and Ryman Auditorium, at the cost of nightly noise; The Gulch for boutique hotels and a quieter, more upscale base just south of downtown; East Nashville for a trendier, more local scene of coffee shops and independent venues across the Cumberland River.
