UniverSoul Circus in Houston

Founded in 1994 by Cedric Walker, the UniverSoul Circus is a single-ring circus that celebrates diversity with a large percentage of performers of color. It first performed in the parking lot of Atlanta Fulton County Stadium and quickly grew, reaching 10 cities by 1997 and expanding to 32 cities by 2005.

The circus gained national recognition with an HBO special in 1998 and became an international attraction with a tour of South Africa in 2001. This summer, it brings its energetic show to Houston, continuing a tradition of entertainment.
