Writers Night Hosted by Barbara Cloyd

Since 1986, Sunday Writers Night at the Bluebird Cafe has been a Nashville listening-room tradition. Up-and-coming songwriters who have passed a Bluebird audition take turns sharing three-song sets in an intimate environment designed to help them grow their craft. Local comedian and songwriter Steve Goodie hosts, keeping the evening flowing between performers.

The room's small scale — a handful of tables, bar seats and church pews — puts the audience right in the songs. It's a rare chance to hear emerging voices in the songwriting capital, in a setting that feels personal and unhurried.
