Darren Kiely is an Irish singer-songwriter from County Cork whose folk-infused pop sound draws on a childhood steeped in traditional Irish music. He began learning the tin whistle at age five and the fiddle at eight, later teaching himself guitar, and won numerous national honors in Irish traditional music competitions before turning to songwriting and singing in 2019.

About Darren Kiely

Kiely relocated to New York in 2022 to pursue music professionally, later settling in Nashville. Signed to Free Flight Records, he released the EPs Lost and From the Dark, exploring themes of self-doubt, grief, and personal growth through emotive, story-driven songwriting influenced by artists such as The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, and Noah Kahan.

His singles have found chart success in Ireland: "Mom & Dad" reached the Top 40 of the Irish Singles Chart and the Top 5 of the Homegrown chart, while "Sunrise" topped the Homegrown chart outright. He has toured across Ireland, North America, and Europe, including headline dates and support slots with acts such as The 502s and Mat Kearney, and was named one of Amazon Music's Artists to Watch for 2025.
