Dayseeker
Dayseeker is an American post-hardcore band formed in 2012 in Orange County, California, built around vocalist Rory Rodriguez. The group's early lineup also included guitarists Alex Polk and Matt Steenstra, bassist Andrew Sharp, and drummer Mike Karle, several of whom came from the local bands Arms Like Yours and Southern Lights.

About Dayseeker
Signed first to InVogue Records and, from 2016, to Spinefarm Records, the band has released six studio albums, including What It Means to Be Defeated (2013), Origin (2015), Dreaming Is Sinking /// Waking Is Rising (2017), Sleeptalk (2019), Dark Sun (2022), and Creature in the Black Night (2025). Its sound blends metalcore and post-hardcore with elements of emo, screamo, synthwave, and electronic rock.
Rodriguez has drawn on personal experience for the band's material, most directly on Dark Sun, which was shaped by the death of his father and the birth of his daughter around the same period. The current lineup is rounded out by bassist Ramone Valerio and drummer Zac Mayfield, with the band continuing to tour behind its most recent record.
