About Isaiah Rashad
His catalogue centers on a small number of deliberately spaced releases: the EP Cilvia Demo (2014), the debut album The Sun's Tirade (2016), and The House Is Burning (2021). His music is marked by a woozy, laid-back production style and introspective lyrics addressing depression, addiction, and family strain, drawing on influences such as OutKast, Scarface, Jay-Z, and Erykah Badu.
Rashad's career has been shaped by long gaps between projects, often attributed to personal struggles, which have made each release a notable event among hip hop critics and TDE's fanbase. Despite the sparse output, he has built a reputation as one of the label's most lyrically distinctive artists.
In May 2026 he released his third studio album, It's Been Awful, to critical acclaim, and the same month spoke publicly about his bisexuality in an interview. He is scheduled to tour in support of the album through 2026.
