About Kid Sistr
The band's identity grew out of a shared experience: all three members are the eldest daughters in sister-only families, a bond the group has described as central to both its name and its songwriting focus on sisterhood, ambition, and coming of age. Musically, Kid Sistr blends guitar-pop hooks with 1980s new wave and garage-punk textures.
The group released its self-titled debut EP in 2020, led by the single "Little Sister Song," which drew comparisons to Cheap Trick and gained traction on streaming and social platforms. Kid Sistr's songwriting centers on themes of ambition, heartbreak, femininity, and friendship from a young woman's perspective.
